A sister resort of Liberty, Whitetail is about 30 minutes from the Maryland-Pennsylvania line in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. Whitetail has recently expanded their territory and runs. The resort has 6 easy or green runs, 11 intermediate runs and 5 difficult runs, with three terrain parks. Whitetail also offers deals for first-time skiers and snowboarders.        Website

Wisp Resort at Deep Creek Lake is Maryland's only ski resort. Wisp is located in Western Maryland, about 3 hours from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, and less than 4 hours from Annapolis. The resort has 8 black diamond trails, 11 blue trails and 9 green trails, with one bunny hill, called, appropriately, "Belly Flop." For the adventurous skiers and snowboarders, Wisp boasts 3 terrain parks and one half pipe. Wisp offers lessons for all skill levels.
